The component then undergoes a suitable inspection in our workshop: leak tests for radiators, functional tests for starters or alternators. Engines for Volvo Construction Equipment

Volvo Construction Equipment machines use diesel engines developed by the Volvo Group, from the same family as those in their trucks: series D6, D7, D12, D13, or D16 depending on power and era. However, a single designation may cover multiple versions with accessories, mounts, and settings specific to each machine. Fitting an engine part on a Volvo machine

A used engine part should be installed within a clean system. After a turbo failure, drain the oil and replace the filter before reassembly. After a radiator leak, flush the cooling system and check the water pump. Use the oil and coolant specified in the machine’s manual. If the engine and gearbox are removed together, take the opportunity to check the coupling; our used gearboxes are sorted by original machine. Installation is performed by your mechanic. Volvo mini-excavator: a distinct engine

• Compact block: a Volvo mini-excavator has a small displacement engine unrelated to the big machines’ D series.
• Dual references: the plate often shows the engine manufacturer’s reference alongside Volvo’s.
• Components: starter, alternator, and radiator are identified by this plate, not by the mini-excavator model.
• Availability: Volvo mini-excavator engine parts and other compact machines’ parts are available upon request, depending on stock.

Original network parts or genuine used parts

For newer machines under contract, the Volvo network offers original parts and exchange-standard components. For machines with many operating hours, genuine used parts dismantled from a Volvo machine of the same generation often offer a good balance between cost and delivery time.
