What is a slewing bearing?

The slewing bearing for an excavator (for example) is an important part of the machine. It ensures the connection between the frame and the turret while allowing a 36 degree rotation. This is the case particularly for track excavator, wheel excavators and mini-excavators. Its use is different for graders. It will have a directional function for these tools.

The slewing ring bearing has a moderate axial stiffness as the diameter is large relative to its section. After many working hours, this wearing part must be replaced.
