Used Backhoe Loader Sliding Frame

4 produits disponibles

A sliding frame cracked after an impact, worn rails, or a locking mechanism that no longer holds, and the whole backhoe loader operates off-kilter. Codimatra, specialist in used spare parts for construction machinery for over 40 years, dismantles sliding frames from selected backhoe loaders and inspects them in our Castelculier workshop before sale. Check out the available parts below or send us your machine’s model.

What is the purpose of a backhoe loader's sliding frame?

Mounted at the rear of the chassis, the sliding frame carries the backhoe bucket and allows it to move laterally along its rails. The operator shifts the arm to dig alongside a wall or curb without repositioning the backhoe loader. Depending on manufacturers and catalogs, the same part may also be called a sliding chassis or lateral offset frame.

Once positioned, the frame is locked by latches, often operated by a hydraulic locking cylinder. It works alongside the stabilizers, which absorb digging forces, and on some machines with a offset cylinder that ensures lateral movement.

Used backhoe loader parts: sliding frames by brand

  • Case: frames for 580SLE and 580B
  • Caterpillar: frame for backhoe loader 432E
  • Fermec: 760 and 860, successors to Massey Ferguson backhoe loaders
  • JCB 3CX and 4CX: used parts available on request

Compatibility: Case 580, Fermec 860 or JCB 3CX backhoe loaders

A sliding frame is chosen according to the exact model and serial number. Check the center distances of the chassis mounts, the width of the rails, and the diameter of the pins that hold the backhoe bucket. The locking type matters too: hydraulic or mechanical, as it determines the connection to your machine.

A common example with Case loaders: a frame for a 580SLE does not fit a 580B without verification. For Fermec and JCB models, the year and serial number on the manufacturer’s plate are enough for our advisors to confirm compatibility before any order.

Signs of a worn sliding frame

  • Lateral play of the backhoe bucket while the frame is locked
  • Clacking sounds when digging, scratched rails or worn wear plates
  • Latches that no longer hold position, leaks on the locking cylinder
  • Cracks around mounting points after hitting an obstacle

Used construction machinery scrap or inspected parts: what we check

A sliding frame taken from used machinery without inspection could hide cracks or ovalized rails. At Codimatra, each dismantled frame undergoes a workshop inspection: welds and anchor points for cracks or deformation, rails and wear plates, rollers or guide shoes depending on the machine design, locking latches and hydraulic locking cylinders, bore holes of the backhoe bucket pins. Only reusable spare parts without need for repairs are put up for sale.

Rarely without major modification. The rear chassis, mounts, and hydraulic circuit of a fixed backhoe loader are not designed to accommodate a sliding frame. It’s better to look for a frame made for your exact model: send your serial number to Codimatra advisors, who will advise you on compatible options.

It depends on the part: the exact composition is listed on the product sheet or specified upon request before ordering. If an element is missing, our advisors can search for the corresponding part among used components dismantled from the same backhoe loader model.

The sliding frame is the steel structure carrying the backhoe bucket and sliding along its rails. The cylinder is the hydraulic component that, depending on the machine, moves the frame or locks it in position. Both parts can be replaced separately, allowing you to change only the worn element.
