What is the role of a stabilizer?

Some excavators and backhoes are equipped with stabilizers. They offer better stability to the machines in order to avoid a rollover. The system locks the axles to prevent the machine from rolling over. In addition to these stabilizers, some mini-excavators and wheel excavators are fitted with blades attached to the chassis to increase stability.

The stabilizer and the discharge blade can be used simultaneously or independently to ensure the stability of the chassis of the machine. The discharge blade also makes it possible to carry out leveling and straightening work.

Without the stabilizer cylinders or blade cylinders, stability would not be as effective. They allow the chassis to be carried in order to widen its grip on the ground.
