How do I know if my boom needs to be replaced?

Cracks in the box welds, significant play in the foot or head pins, a twisted boom after impact: these signs should alert you. Pin play can sometimes be fixed by changing bushings, but extensive cracks or deformation often require replacement. Send us photos, and our advisors will help you decide.

Can a boom from a different brand be fitted?

It’s rarely straightforward. Diameter and pin spacing, cylinder ear positions, and weight vary between manufacturers. Adaptation requires significant modifications to be approved by a professional. We recommend an original boom designed for your model, such as a Caterpillar boom for a Caterpillar excavator.

How is a used boom delivered?

The boom is a long, heavy part shipped on a flatbed or by a transporter specialized in construction machinery parts from Castelculier near Agen. We deliver in France and internationally. Delivery times depend on the destination and are provided when ordering.
