Q: What is a used construction tank?

A used construction tank is a spare part removed from a construction machine and resold after inspection. There are two main types: the fuel tank, which stores the diesel needed for the engine, and the hydraulic tank, which contains the oil powering the machine's hydraulic circuit. These parts are compatible with equipment such as excavators, loaders, or backhoe loaders from major brands.

Q: Which tank brands are available from Codimatra?

Codimatra stocks tanks for major construction brands such as Liebherr, Caterpillar, JCB, Komatsu, and Hitachi. Our catalog covers a wide range of manufacturers, for both fuel and hydraulic tanks. The inventory is regularly updated to meet professionals' needs. If your brand does not appear, contact Codimatra to check availability for the specific model.

Q: How to verify tank compatibility with my machine?

To ensure a tank fits your machine, have the manufacturer reference from the technical manual or the machine's nameplate. The machine's serial number is also essential to cross-check data. If in doubt, Codimatra's team can assist you in identifying the correct part using this information.

Q: What savings can be made with a used tank?

Choosing a used tank can reduce costs by 30 to 50% compared to buying a new part from the dealer. On construction equipment where tanks can cost several hundred euros new, the savings are substantial. For professionals managing multiple machines, these savings add up quickly and help maintain the fleet without increasing maintenance expenses.

Q: How are tanks inspected before shipment?

Each tank undergoes a visual and sealing inspection before shipment. Technicians check for cracks, advanced corrosion, or deformations on the structure. Drain plugs and fittings are also inspected. This ensures the delivered part is functional and ready to be installed on your machine without surprises during commissioning.

Q: Can I order a tank for an old or rare model?

Yes, Codimatra regularly handles requests for out-of-production or rare machines. Dismantling end-of-life equipment allows recovery of parts no longer available through standard channels. For an old model or rare reference, simply provide the serial number and the machine brand to our team, who will search their network for the matching part.
